An effective management structure,
which includes all members of the partnership was recognised by
Ofsted as a key strength of the SCITT. The schools in the partnership
serve diverse communities including areas of high deprivation, rural,
urban and suburban catchments. There are a mix of CofE, Catholic,
and non denominational schools. Although the local areas have relatively
small numbers of children from ethnically diverse backgrounds all
our schools have a strong record of inclusive practice and include
Traveller's children and growing numbers of children from migrant
workers. A distinctive feature of our partnership schools is their
commitment to providing high quality provision, reflected by nationally
recognised awards and inspection. Over 40% of our partner schools
have been judged as outstanding by Ofsted. 50% of our schools have
been members of the SCITT since its inception.
Schools value taking an active part in the SCITT learning community.
