SCITT Mission and Vision
Our purpose is:
To provide a high quality teacher training route through a school-based partnership underpinned by effective academic study, successfully producing qualified teachers who are exemplary Early Years Practitioners.

Vision:
We aim to provide consistent, high quality provision benchmarked against QTS Standards, which is

  • recognised and valued by all stakeholders
  • equipping Trainees with the knowledge, understanding and best skills
  • preparing children as citizens of the 21st century.
  • promoting the ethos of collaborative learning communities
  • promoting inclusive practice which does not tolerate prejudice
  • benefiting from the diversity and contributions of all partners.
  • providing a learning community in which individuals feel confident to take risks and learn from each other
  • providing a learning community in which individuals are inspired to explore creative approaches to developing the potential of all partners
  • evaluating and reflecting on practice to improve and excel
