We are at the forefront of School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT), based in one of the first Teaching Schools in the country, Bransgore Primary School. If you want to be an outstanding learning-centred teacher in the Early Years or Primary sectors then this is the programme for you. You will be training in a setting dedicated to sharing and developing outstanding teaching and learning. 'A key strength is the breadth of the Training Programme; ensuring Trainees are well versed in current educational practice and initiative.' Ofsted 2010 ' A brilliant course - one of the best experiences of my life!' South Coast SCITT Trainee 2011 On completion of our one year full-time course Trainees achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), carrying 60 credits towards a Masters Degree, and fantastic career prospects in teaching. South Coast SCITT has a proven track record of high numbers of Trainees gaining teaching posts - over 90% of the 2010-11 cohort are now teaching. |
